To evaluate the risk from AACs to wildlife and human populations in Europe.
The experimental outcomes and results will finally sum up in an evaluation of the risk originating from AACs to
humans and European aquatic wildlife, respectively. All participating partners will contribute to this objective of
the COMPRENDO project, considering the results of the exposure analysis and the effects of AACs on the different
levels of biological integration. We intend not only to perform a risk assessment according to Council Regulations
(EEC) 793/93 and (EC) 1488/94, the latter supported by a technical guidance document (TGD), but also to critically
evaluate the applicability of current margins of safety and uncertainty factors to AACs which were originally set up
for to all types of environmental chemicals.
